An introduction…

Firstly I’d like to start by asking you not to judge a book by it’s cover, we’re much bigger than we look from the outside. Our floor space is over 28,00 square feet and it’s pretty full, that’s a lot of furniture and accessories for you to browse! And, yes the exterior is looking a little tired, trust us, we know and it’s on our to do list! Our interior however, is a different story. We get so many customers commenting on how pleasantly surprised they are when they come inside, we try our best to display our collections well our customers always comment on our “unusual accessories”.

A little about us…

We are a family run business with over a century of combined experience in the furniture trade. We offer sensible, impartial and honest advice to all our customers whether they are purchasing an accessory or furnishing a full house.

We do not employ “pushy” salespeople and let our customers browse unhindered but are on hand to answer any questions you may have.

We are on a single level with ample car parking and full disabled facilities plus an unlimited supply of tea, coffees or hot chocolate to refresh you if you need it.

We deal with many British firms and can offer bespoke, made to measure items from a variety of dining, bedroom and upholstery manufacturers so that your special purchase can be made uniquely to your requirements.

We have built up a rapport with many of our customers over a period of years, even supplying children and grand-children of some of our original customers. We do attract a lot of new customers by “word of mouth” which is a great testimony in itself.

    Felt the need to share a review of Furnitureworld in these difficult times of Covid, worldwide supply chain issues etc. We ordered our furniture in May 2021, with an extended delivery date of 18 weeks. In the event, this extended further and further, heading into Christmas. So that we could get our new carpets fitted, and still have something to sit on (old furniture having gone), they offered us the choice of the showroom as a temporary solution pending delivery of our order. We chose pieces from the same suite that we had ordered, helping us complete the room refit.

    With circumstances beyond their control, Furnitureworld could not have done more to minimise the impact on us. Also, having previously trawled South and West Yorkshire for our furniture, I have to say their range turned out to be the best we found, a large and good quality range.
